Announcing ASAP!
2012-08-28 1:59:09 PM
Given the prevalence of prostate cancer in Canadian men, the message couldn’t be clearer: we need to expand survivorship services.  That’s why we’re so excited about launching  ‘A Survivorship Action Partnership’ (ASAP).
UPDATE - Survivorship Programs
2012-06-04 4:26:30 PM
The five year relative survival rate for prostate cancer is close to 100 per cent. In other words – this is a highly curable disease.  For survivors, beating the disease is often only the first step, as recovery can result in a host of other challenges.  PCC’s goal is to support men and their families throughout their prostate cancer journey – diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Clare's Story

We were very happy, Kim myself and our three children, Victoria 19, Austin 19 and Jennifer 16. We were in love; we had great jobs and a wonderful family. We thought we were invincible. We met in 2006 and married in 2008.
It’s Our Time To Celebrate
2012-03-20 11:02:08 AM
Today, we celebrate our first year anniversary in Atlantic Canada! Our Atlantic office was established to raise awareness and support research and programs for the fight against prostate cancer- and it’s been a busy year! Below is a snapshot of what PCC Atlantic has been up to.
Happy First Anniversary! - A Note From Moncton
2012-03-20 11:02:08 AM
When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June 2009, it was a surprise to me to learn that there were only two support groups in all of New Brunswick, Fredericton and Miramichi.  There had been active groups in Moncton and Saint John, but not for quite a number of years.
Funding Research- Coast to Coast
2012-03-13 3:46:48 PM
In 2011, over $19 million of PCC funds were  dedicated to supporting prostate cancer research. One of the ways we administer these funds is through our Pilot Grant Program. We fund innovative, high-potential pilot studies that could significantly advance the field.
Prostate Cancer and Black History Month
2012-02-21 10:05:14 AM
It’s time for men to take charge of their health. This is even more important for those of African or Caribbean descent as they are at a higher risk of developing prostate cancer, the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men.

February 6th marks the beginning of the exhibit in Winnipeg. To celebrate, we caught up with award-winning photographer, Fred Chartrand, to ask him about his involvement in TIEd Together.  Fred photographed Olympic gold medalist Alex Baumann as part of the exhibit.
Resolutions
2012-01-23 12:10:55 PM
It’s that time of the year where most of us have realized that our New Year’s resolutions just aren’t going to happen. Instead of giving up and hibernating ‘til spring, let’s recommit to one resolution that we can all achieve:
Take Charge of Your Health
Side by Side
2011-10-06 4:57:13 PM
The women in this group were just as fearful as their partners regardless of the disease’s timeline; but their role was one of support and confidence. If they carried the badge of hope and belief then the men would as well.
