Speaker – Dr. Anne Katz

Dr. Anne Katz is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and certified sexuality counselor, based at the Manitoba Prostate Centre at CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg, MB. In this role she counsels men about the various treatment choices when newly diagnosed and provides supportive counselling and interventions if and when sexual problems occur after cancer. She holds a joint appointment as an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Manitoba. She is the author of Prostate Cancer and the Man you Love: Supporting and Caring for your Partner (Rowman & Littlefied 2013).

Toronto, October 23, 2018 – Prostate Cancer Canada and the Movember Foundation today announced $4 million in funding to three Canadian researchers to predict how well prostate cancer will respond to treatment, based on men’s biological markers, specifically in their tumour cells and blood – opening a path to more personalized care with fewer side effects and a better chance of survival.
