A couple of weeks ago, when last we heard from intrepid cyclists Shane Vanier and his sons, Sean and Trevor, they were just 15 kilometres from the Alberta border at Crowsnest Pass. Only another 6,000 or so kilometres and $48,000 to go!
Fifty grand. That’s what the Ottawa area’s Vanier’s are gunning for in their ride from Vancouver to Cape Breton – in order to support Prostate Cancer Canada and increase awareness of a disease that will affect 1 in 6 Canadian men.
Actually, just last week they posted pictures on their Facebook site that bears witness to them having pedaled across Alberta and entered Saskatchewan.
