Several PCCN support groups across the country have marked milestones this year including years of service. This month we highlight PCCN Toronto who marked 20 years of service on November 26th at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Many attended who have supported PCCN Toronto’s work over the years. Dr. Padraig Warde, radiation oncologist at Princess Margaret Hospital graciously accepted a special recognition plaque in honour of Dr. John Trachtenberg from the Prostate Centre, University Health Network who played a major role in starting the group.

18 prostate cancer support groups from Ontario and Quebec met together this past weekend in Huntsville, Ontario to network, share best practices and learn about PCC programs that benefit members of support groups and all survivors.

It was October 2010. Four biopsies came back positive for prostate cancer. This was a real shock because I had vigilantly monitored my PSA count for several years.
