Robert Pullan was 62 in 2015 and in the best condition he had been for years. He had recently started taking better care of his health and as part of that, he went for a physical examination with a new family doctor in Toronto. Dr. Amina Zoubeidi, an associate professor at the University of British Columbia is set to change the course of treatment for neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) – a deadly form of prostate cancer for which there is no effective treatment. She and her team have developed and are testing a drug they hope will be a major breakthrough.
