Emerging Treatments

There are new and emerging treatments for prostate cancer in Canada. Two of the more prominent emerging treatment options are High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and proton therapy.  These are not considered routine treatment options.  HIFU is available in a few centres in Canada, and while there are proton therapy clinics in Canada, proton therapy is not available for the treatment of prostate cancer in Canada.
